Democracy for Iraq….maybe eventually someday
Once again no agreement has been reached among the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council about a timetable for transferring power in Iraq to a true Iraqi government (rather than a handpicked band of pro-U.S. puppets). Apparently those damned French (and Russians and Germans) think that this is something that should happen quickly, while the U.S. wants to maybe get around to it eventually. Oh, and of course the U.S. wants to continue being in charge of the military occupation while this is going on.
