Free market Talibanism

After making the ridiculous claim that 2.6 million new jobs would be created this year, the Bush administration follows up with this:

The movement of American factory jobs and white-collar work to other countries is part of a positive transformation that will enrich the U.S. economy over time, even if it causes short-term pain and dislocation, the Bush administration said Monday

Yes, that “short-term pain” of being unable to find a job, pay your mortgage, send your kids to college, support your family is nothing compared to their theoretical fantasy land of free trade happiness and joy (which will occur at an unspecified point in the future)! These guys are just too much, but I’d like to thank them for handing the Democrats this issue on a silver platter.

Kos has a good piece on it all here.
