Blogs from Iraq

In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new blog coming out of Iraq called Baghdad Burning. This one’s unique in that it comes from a female perspective, and it’s got a lot of interesting things to say about the lives and opinions of the people whose country we’re occupying. It’s pretty fascinating stuff, so take some time to read it, and check out Salaam Pax’s Where is Raed? too. It’s pretty obvious that most of those in the U.S. government and military actually have no idea what the Iraqi people think or feel.

UPDATE: Though it’s not a blog, there’s also a Newsweek article up about the effect our security sweeps are having on the economy of one Iraqi village.
