Not too sweet on sugar
The World Health Organization published new recommendations about nutrition on Wednesday, which included restricting added sugars to no more than 10 percent of total daily energy intake. As might be expected, certain corporate interests did not like this idea at all, and they decided to put a great deal of pressure on the WHO to change the guidelines before they were published. After all, the profits to be made from sugar are more important than health, right? Fortunately, they failed.
