    The unfortuate thing is that with the state of awareness of our nation’s history, many people would probably attribute that quite to “that president in the wheelchair”. For all of his bluster, Teddy Roosevelt was a president ahead of his time, pioneering in many areas including environmental awareness and preservation of green spaces for the public to enjoy.
