Susan McKeown at Glucksman Ireland House (NYC)

On Friday night Jenn and I joined our friend woj for a trip down to NYC to see Susan McKeown perform at Glucksman Ireland House. Woj already wrote a fine review of the show, so I’ll just add a link to a few photos I took during the performance. I thought Susan and the gang played a couple of great sets, and it was a real pleasure to have the chance to talk with her again after the show (and to be introduced to her sister). I’ll certainly be looking forward to the next chance to see her perform, though that likely won’t be until this fall, when she’s touring with The Klezmatics again to promote the latest of their Woody Guthrie projects. In the meantime she’s going to be working on songs for what’s currently being referred to as “Bones 3″ (which means it’ll be the third of her non-trad albums).
